Homeowners along Accra's 28th February Road are appealing to government to reconsider the timelines for demolishing properties earmarked for the road expansion project.

The affected residents fear the demolitions could leave many people homeless and disrupt livelihoods built over several years.

They are calling for more time, meaningful engagement and alternative solutions that will allow the road project to proceed while preserving parts of Accra's architectural heritage.

The homeowners say they support development but want the process to take into account the human and historical impact of the planned demolitions.
