President John Dramani Mahama's latest ministerial reshuffle has triggered discussions about the political and administrative implications of the changes within his government.
On August 7, President Mahama nominated Dr. Zanetor Agyemang-Rawlings as Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, while former Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga was nominated as Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.
Kenneth Gilbert Adjei was reassigned to the Ministry of Defence, while Ahmed Ibrahim was moved to the Ministry of Works, Housing and Water Resources.
The changes have also affected the leadership of the Majority Caucus in Parliament, with Builsa North MP James Agalga taking over as Majority Leader following Ayariga's nomination.
