Bui Power Authority Records US$66.2 Million Profit From Electricity Generation in 2025

The Bui Power Authority (BPA) recorded US$145.9 million in revenue from electricity generation in 2025, with its net profit rising to US$66.2 million.
The state-owned power producer says the performance reflects improved operational efficiency, increased investment in renewable energy and progress on strategic projects aimed at strengthening Ghana's energy security.
BPA also expanded its solar generation capacity, exceeded its electricity generation target and continued efforts to diversify Ghana's energy mix.
The development highlights the growing role of renewable energy in supporting Ghana's power sector and ensuring long-term sustainability.
