President John Dramani Mahama's ministerial reshuffle has triggered changes in the leadership of the Majority Caucus in Parliament.

Former Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has been nominated as Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs-designate, paving the way for James Agalga, the four-term Member of Parliament for Builsa North, to take over as the new Majority Leader.

Speaking to Channel One News, Mr. Agalga dismissed suggestions that he could be intimidated by the Minority front bench, insisting that his years of parliamentary experience have prepared him to lead the House effectively.

The leadership change comes as part of broader adjustments announced by President Mahama, with several portfolios reassigned and new ministerial nominations submitted to Parliament for approval.
