Fire Outbreak in Aputuogya Claims Life of 89-Year-Old Man

An 89-year-old man, Kwaku Opoku, has died after being trapped in a four-bedroom house fire at Aputuogya in the Ashanti Region.
The fire affected two of the four self-contained bedrooms in the house, which is owned by Ernest Boateng and occupied by Enoch Amoah Appiah and his family, as well as Madam Abena Mansah and her family.
Personnel from the Ashanti Regional Fire Sub-Station and the KNUST Fire Station responded to the incident and managed to bring the blaze under control using water.
During the firefighting operation, firefighters retrieved the charred body of Kwaku Opoku, who was reportedly trapped inside the building by the flames.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, with investigations currently underway to determine what led to the outbreak.
