At least 6 killed, and 30 injured in Thailand school shooting

At least three students and three teachers were killed in a shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School near Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, Aug. 7. Around 30 others were injured.

Videos shared online showed terrified students hiding under desks, climbing out of classroom windows and fleeing as gunfire echoed through the school.

Thai police said the suspected gunman, believed to be a 14-year-old student at the school, allegedly killed his grandparents at their home before carrying out the attack.

Authorities urged the public not to livestream the incident while emergency teams secured the campus. The suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The attack is the latest in a series of deadly mass shootings in Thailand, where concerns over gun violence have grown in recent years.
