Thousands Join NPP’s ‘Democracy Under Attack’ Protest in Accra

Thousands of supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flooded the principal streets of Accra in a demonstration the party says was aimed at defending Ghana's democracy.

The protesters accused the government of selective justice, suppressing free speech, and targeting individuals for expressing their views.

The demonstration, dubbed “Democracy Under Attack,” drew party executives, Members of Parliament, supporters and sympathisers who marched through the capital to present their concerns.
