The memories of the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash remain fresh in the minds of residents of Sikaman-Brofoyedru, the farming community in the Ashanti Region where the tragedy occurred.
Some residents were among the first people to reach the crash site through the thick forest and assisted in the rescue efforts following the disaster.
One year on, the community continues to remember the incident, described as one of Ghana's worst aviation disasters, and the lives lost in the crash.
