Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has called for an end to what he describes as a cycle of political retaliation in Ghana, urging political actors to focus on national issues rather than actions driven by revenge.

Speaking during the “Democracy Under Attack” demonstration organised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Afenyo-Markin said Ghana must move away from a political culture where governments use state power to target opponents.

He urged leaders across the political divide to promote fairness, accountability and issue-based politics in the interest of the country's democratic development.
