Myanmar refugees fear return as President Min Aung Hlaing visits Thailand
Myanmar's president, Min Aung Hlaing, has made a two-day visit to Bangkok as his government seeks to rebuild regional ties after years of isolation following the 2021 coup. The visit has alarmed Myanmar nationals in Thailand, particularly undocumented refugees who fear deportation. Armed opposition groups warn that engagement with the military-led government undermines those resisting its rule, as ASEAN faces pressure over how to handle Myanmar's reintegration.
Al Jazeera's Barnaby Lo reports from Bangkok, Thailand.
