Top Story: Asiedu Nketia Accuses NPP of Pushing Mahama Third Term Agenda to Destabilize NDC

Top Story with Kenneth Gyasi on Joy 99.7 FM examines explosive allegations by NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, who claims the opposition NPP is behind the growing narrative that President John Dramani Mahama is seeking a third term in office.

Speaking on PM Express, Mr. Asiedu Nketia alleged that the third-term debate is a calculated political strategy designed to divide, destabilize and discredit the governing NDC. The Presidency has consistently denied any intention by President Mahama to seek another term, even as three separate cases before the Supreme Court seek an interpretation of Article 66(2) of the Constitution on presidential term limits.

The NDC Chairman also launched a fresh attack on the NPP's defence of convicted Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi-Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), alleging the party has benefited from illegal mining proceeds and insisting the court's verdict should stand.

He further criticized the Supreme Court's decision to abolish the delegates system, warning it could make internal party democracy more expensive and less accessible.

Tonight, we bring you:

Asiedu Nketia's claims about the Mahama third-term narrative The NPP's response to the allegations The NDC's position on the Supreme Court cases The latest political exchanges over Chairman Wontumi's conviction Expert analysis on the constitutional and political implications
