A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Organiser aspirant in the Savannah Region has filed a lawsuit at the Damongo High Court challenging the reinstatement of a rival by the party's National Steering Committee.

The legal action follows an earlier decision by the Regional Appeals Committee to disqualify the rival from contesting the Savannah Regional Youth Organiser position.

The dispute centres on the eligibility of one of the aspirants to participate in the party's upcoming regional executive elections.
