Chief of Staff Calls for Transparency in Volta Lake Concession Process

Chief of Staff Dr. Julius Debrah has called for transparency and strong community participation in the concessioning of the non-hydro assets of the Volta Lake System.

According to him, building investor confidence while ensuring that communities are actively involved in the process will be critical to the success of the project.

Dr. Debrah stressed that an open and inclusive concession process will help maximise the economic potential of the Volta Lake while delivering long-term benefits for surrounding communities and the country.

The concession forms part of government's broader strategy to unlock investment opportunities under the 24-hour economy initiative.
