The government says it is pursuing a concession arrangement to transform the Volta Lake into a major transport and industrial corridor as part of efforts to drive economic growth under the 24-hour economy policy.

Speaking on the initiative, Presidential Advisor on the 24-hour Economy, Goosie Tanoh, said the project is expected to attract private sector investment, create jobs and strengthen supply chains across the country.

According to him, the concession model will help unlock the economic potential of the Volta Lake while improving transportation, logistics and industrial activity.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and stimulate economic development through strategic public-private partnerships.
