The deteriorating condition of the footbridge in Abee, Central Region, has raised safety concerns as residents continue to rely on the structure despite its dangerous state.

Channel One TV's Central Regional Correspondent experienced the footbridge firsthand, describing the crossing as frightening, with noticeable shaking under pressure.

Residents say they have repeatedly appealed for the structure to be fixed, but their concerns have not received the needed attention. In response, community members have resorted to temporary repairs to keep the bridge usable while waiting for intervention.

The situation has renewed calls for authorities to urgently rehabilitate the footbridge to prevent a possible disaster and ensure safe movement for residents.
