Wechiau Traditional Council Commends REGSEC Engagement Over Abu Tijani Case

The Wechiau Traditional Council has commended the Upper West Regional Security Council (REGSEC) for engaging the community following the death of youth leader Abu Tijani.

Speaking on behalf of the Traditional Council, Gurungu Naa Alhaji Osman Laribogu urged residents, particularly the youth, to remain peaceful and cooperate with security authorities as investigations into the incident continue.

The call follows REGSEC's visit to Wechiau in the Wa West District to commiserate with Abu Tijani's family and assure residents of a transparent and independent investigation.

Authorities have indicated that the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) is handling the probe into the circumstances surrounding his death.
