Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu says Ghana's newly inaugurated National Commission for UNESCO will strengthen the country's participation in shaping international policies on education, science and culture.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Commission, the Minister said the expertise and experience of its members would help advance Ghana's interests in global discussions while supporting national development through UNESCO programmes and partnerships.

He expressed confidence that the Commission would promote Ghana's priorities in education, scientific innovation and cultural development, while deepening collaboration with UNESCO and other international stakeholders.

The National Commission for UNESCO serves as Ghana's link with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, coordinating the country's engagement with UNESCO initiatives.
