What Michigan reveals about the Democratic party's future

Michigan's closely watched Democratic Senate primary race is still too close to call this morning. As of right now, progressive candidate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed remains in the lead, with Congresswoman Haley Stevens trailing by less than two percent. The race is a lot closer than polling indicated. Regardless of who wins, the primary race paints a clearer picture of where voters and the Democratic party stands heading into the midterms and further ahead to 2028.
