Speaking on Eyewitness News, Mr Aboagye said the focus should not only be on the amount deducted from fuel prices but on whether the intervention has significantly reduced the financial burden on consumers.
He argued that fuel prices remain higher than they were before the current administration assumed office and continue to contribute to the rising cost of living through transport fares and the prices of goods and services.
