The Ga North Municipal Assembly has clarified that the controversial toilet facility constructed beneath the Pokuase Interchange was not built at the location approved by the Assembly.

The clarification follows public backlash after a viral video showed the uncompleted structure at an obscure section beneath the interchange, sparking concerns over the suitability and planning of the project.

According to the Assembly, although the project was awarded by the municipality, the facility was constructed at a different location from the approved site.

The structure has since been demolished.
