Local Government Service Warns Coordinating Directors Against Political Bias in Governance

Regional Coordinating Directors have been urged to strike a balance between supporting the policies of elected governments and maintaining administrative neutrality.

The Head of the Local Government Service, Professor Lord Kwaku Mensah, stressed that coordinating directors must uphold professionalism, impartiality and political neutrality to protect the credibility of Ghana's decentralised governance system.

He said while the directors play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of government policies, they must also maintain the integrity and independence of the public administration.
