The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) says it has dismissed two car park workers at the airport for engaging in extortion.

The decision follows repeated complaints from travellers over allegations that some workers were begging for or demanding money from passengers using the airport's car park facilities.

GACL says the action forms part of efforts to maintain professionalism, improve passenger experience and protect the reputation of Ghana's aviation sector.
