STC Clarifies Birimso Bridge Crash: No Passenger Injuries or Deaths Recorded

The State Transport Company (STC) has assured the travelling public of its commitment to safety, reliability and passenger comfort following the fatal crash involving one of its buses at Birimso Bridge on the Accra–Kumasi Highway.
The collision involved an STC bus, a fuel tanker, a Mitsubishi pick-up and a Kia Sorento, resulting in the deaths of three people.
Speaking to Channel One News, STC's Deputy Managing Director for Finance and Administration, Nuru Hamidan, clarified that none of the passengers aboard the STC bus was injured or killed in the accident.
His comments follow widely circulated claims on social media suggesting that some STC passengers died in the crash, including a video in which the bus driver was reported to have made such claims.
STC says it remains focused on maintaining high safety standards and providing reliable transport services to passengers across the country.
