Mahama to Cut Sod for 7-Storey Car Park and Airport Hotel Project at Accra International Airport

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to cut the sod by the end of August 2026 for the construction of a seven-storey multi-purpose car park and airport hotel complex at the Accra International Airport.
The project forms part of efforts to expand infrastructure at the airport and improve facilities for passengers, travellers and businesses.
The development follows the relocation of the existing Terminal 3 car park to make way for the project, which is expected to be completed within two years.
During a visit to the airport by Parliament's Committee on Roads and Transportation, the Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, outlined the key components of the planned facility.
The project is expected to enhance parking capacity and provide additional hospitality services at Ghana's main international gateway.
