AI Can Transform Local Governance in Ghana – Local Government Service Head

Head of the Local Government Service, Professor Lord Kwaku Mensah, has urged Regional Coordinating Directors to embrace emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to improve governance.

According to him, digital tools can strengthen planning, financial management, procurement, performance monitoring and citizen engagement, helping to improve efficiency and service delivery across local government institutions.

He encouraged public sector leaders to leverage innovation to build a more responsive and accountable system of governance.
