In the Philippines, ordinary citizens are volunteering to help fight deforestation.

101 East correspondent Natashya Gutierrez travels to the western province of Palawan, where she joins volunteers on a mission to track down illegal loggers.

The volunteers say a government program to restore the country's forests has instead led to more environmental destruction.
