Sedina Case: Inusah Fuseini Challenges High Court Judgment, Baffour-Awuah Critiques Appeal Ruling

The acquittal of former MASLOC Chief Executive Officer Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu continues to generate debate over the evidence, legal reasoning and judicial interpretation surrounding the case.
Speaking on The Point of View with Bernard Avle, Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour-Awuah criticised aspects of the Court of Appeal's judgment, arguing that the judges focused more on what the prosecution failed to do rather than fully assessing the evidence presented before the court.
He also raised concerns about the use of Sedina Tamakloe's statement to the police, arguing that the statement had not been tested through testimony in court and questioning how an unsworn statement could be used to challenge sworn evidence.
Meanwhile, former Tamale Central MP Inusah Fuseini said the Court of Appeal's decision initially surprised many people, including himself, but argued that the issues can only be properly understood by carefully studying the full judgment.
He also defended aspects of the ruling, highlighting questions around the evidence used to convict Sedina Tamakloe and the basis of the High Court's decision.
