A footbridge serving residents of Abee in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) Municipality of the Central Region has become a major safety concern, with residents describing it as a death trap.

The deteriorating bridge is a vital link connecting the community to nearby farmlands and schools. Residents fear that if it collapses completely, it will isolate the community, disrupt farming activities and prevent many schoolchildren from accessing education.

Community members are calling on authorities to urgently rehabilitate or replace the bridge before disaster strikes.
