Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren remains optimistic despite Ghana's 1-0 defeat to Cameroon in their second Group D match at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ghana conceded after Marie Ngah Manga converted a first-half penalty awarded following a VAR review, leaving the Black Queens needing a positive result in their final group game to keep their qualification hopes alive.
Speaking after the match, Björkegren said the team showed encouraging signs despite the defeat and is focused on securing victory against Mali in their final Group D fixture.
The Black Queens will now fight to keep their tournament hopes alive as they aim to progress to the next stage of the competition.
