Tema MCE Dismisses Claims of Water Contamination After Community 6 Sewer Spill

The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has dismissed claims that a sewerage spill at Community 6 contaminated Ghana Water Company Limited's (GWCL) water supply.
The Assembly said a joint assessment conducted with Ghana Water Company Limited confirmed that there was no contamination of the water supply and that the spill was resolved on the same day.
Speaking to Channel One News, the Public Relations Officer of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Frank Asante, urged the public to disregard the claims and assured residents that the situation had been addressed.
The Assembly says measures were taken promptly to contain the spill and protect public health.
