A new wrapped monument has emerged at the site of the vandalised statue of former President Nana Akufo-Addo in front of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi.
The newly installed structure, which remains covered, has sparked curiosity among residents of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, who are waiting for its official unveiling to know what it represents.
Checks by Channel One TV News with a source at the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly indicate that the Assembly did not fund the construction of the new monument.
The development comes after the previous statue at the location was vandalised by unknown persons, leading to public interest over what would replace it.
