The Head of Ghana's delegation to the Pan-African Parliament, Bernard Ahiafor, has called for a collective effort by African governments and stakeholders to address the challenges confronting the continent, particularly youth unemployment.
The First Deputy Speaker of Ghana's Parliament stressed the need for coordinated action to create sustainable opportunities for young people and ensure they play a central role in Africa's development.
Bernard Ahiafor said addressing youth unemployment requires more than policies alone, calling for practical interventions that equip young people with opportunities, skills and platforms to contribute meaningfully to society.
His comments were made at the opening ceremony of the inaugural Pan-African Youth Parliament for Democracy, where he advocated for stronger youth participation in governance and decision-making processes across Africa.
