Afenyo-Markin Accuses Government of Using State Powers Against Opposition Members

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has accused the government of using state investigative and prosecutorial powers to harass members of the opposition.

He described what he called the alleged targeting of NPP Members of Parliament and party members as a dangerous trend that could undermine Ghana's democratic environment.

The Minority Leader raised the concerns during his closing remarks at the end of the second meeting of the second session of the Ninth Parliament, calling for respect for democratic principles and political freedoms.
