Commonwealth Games 2026: Frema Agyei Misses Bronze as Ghana Remains on Two Medals

Team Ghana narrowly missed the opportunity to add a third medal to its tally at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after 17-year-old judoka Frema Agyei lost the women's 57kg bronze medal contest.
Agyei was defeated by England's Lele Nairne in the bronze medal bout, bringing an end to the teenager's impressive campaign at the Games.
Despite missing out on the podium, Ghana has secured two medals so far, with para athlete Zinabu Issah winning silver in the women's F57 shot put final and boxer Amadu Mohammed claiming bronze in the men's 55kg boxing competition.
