Authorities at the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly have pledged to sanitise the Sabon Zongo community following an ongoing demolition exercise aimed at addressing persistent security concerns.

The Assembly continued the operation on Friday, a day after the exercise began, leaving scores of residents displaced.

According to the Assembly, the exercise forms part of broader efforts to reclaim the area, improve public safety and curb criminal activities that have generated concern among residents.
