30 Traditional Medicine Facilities Closed Over Licensing and Regulatory Breaches

The Traditional Medicine Practice Council has shut down 30 facilities in the Ashanti Region following an enforcement exercise that uncovered multiple regulatory breaches.

According to the Council, some of the affected facilities were operating without valid licences, while others were engaging unqualified health practitioners in violation of the law.

The exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen regulation in the traditional medicine sector and protect the public from unsafe and unlicensed healthcare services.
