Fuel Prices Set to Rise Again as Oil Marketers Warn of Global Price Impact

The Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COPEC), Dr. Riverson Oppong, has warned that sustained increases in global crude oil prices could trigger further hikes in fuel prices at the pumps.
He said oil marketing companies have no choice but to pass on higher costs to consumers.
The Chamber projects that petrol prices could increase by about 7.58% from August 1, 2026, while diesel prices are expected to record the steepest increase of about 12.50%.
