Traditional Medicine Council Shuts Down 30 Illegal Facilities in Ashanti

The Traditional Medicine Practice Council has shut down 30 facilities in the Ashanti Region for violating regulatory requirements.
According to the Council, the affected facilities were found operating without valid licences and, in some cases, using unqualified practitioners.
Officials say the enforcement exercise forms part of efforts to protect the public and ensure traditional medicine is practised in accordance with established standards.
The Council has warned that the affected facilities will face additional sanctions, including possible legal action, if they fail to comply with the law.
