The Kampakuya Naa has been installed as the Regent of Dagbon, taking responsibility for overseeing the affairs of the Dagbon Kingdom until the final funeral rites of the late Yaa Naa are performed and a new Overlord is selected.
The installation forms part of the traditional succession process of Dagbon, ensuring continuity in the administration of the kingdom during the transition period.
The Regent is expected to guide the affairs of Dagbon while kingmakers and traditional authorities complete the customary processes leading to the selection and enskinment of a new Yaa Naa.
