Court of Appeal Acquits Sedina Tamakloe After Overturning 10-Year Sentence

The Court of Appeal has unanimously overturned the conviction and 10-year prison sentence imposed on former MASLOC Chief Executive Officer, Sedina Tamakloe Attionu.

The appellate court acquitted and discharged Ms. Tamakloe of all charges, ruling that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.

The decision sets aside the earlier High Court judgment that found the former MASLOC CEO guilty of causing financial loss to the state and other related offences.

The ruling marks a major development in the long-running legal case involving the former public official.
