11 Schoolchildren Injured After Tipper Truck Crashes Into Bus on N1 Highway

Eleven children have been injured, with some reported to be in critical condition, following an accident on the Accra Mall to Dzorwulu stretch of the N1 Highway.

Eyewitnesses say a tipper truck crashed into a stationary school bus carrying pupils, resulting in injuries among the children.

Preliminary investigations by the Ghana National Fire Service indicate that the tipper truck driver allegedly attempted a wrong overtaking manoeuvre, causing the vehicle to veer into the stationary school bus.

The injured pupils were taken for medical attention as authorities continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
