Labour Minister Warns Against Corruption and Inflated Government Contracts

Labour, Jobs and Employment Minister, Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has condemned the growing use of public office and government contracts for personal enrichment.

The Minister called for greater integrity, transparency and accountability in public service, warning that unethical practices such as inflated contracts, abandoned projects and the abuse of public office undermine national development and public confidence.

Dr. Pelpuo stressed the need for public officials to uphold high ethical standards and ensure that public resources are used responsibly and in the interest of citizens.
