Labour, Jobs and Employment Minister, Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has called on human resource professionals to expand skills development initiatives beyond the corporate sector to include artisans, local producers and micro-entrepreneurs.
According to the Minister, strengthening the skills of workers in Ghana's informal sector is essential to improving productivity, creating jobs and supporting sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Pelpuo said HR professionals have a critical role to play in developing the country's workforce by ensuring that training and capacity-building opportunities reach all segments of the economy.
