From Grief to Hope: Nana Oye Bampoe Addo Details Government’s Support for Families of Fallen Heroes

Government has presented a comprehensive support package to the families and children of the eight public servants who died in the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash.

At a ceremony at Jubilee House, Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, announced that government had secured over GH¢13 million in compensation for dependents of the fallen civilian heroes, with arrangements also made for the dependents of the military officers who lost their lives.

The package includes government compensation payments, legacy boxes containing children's fund investment certificates, commemorative medallions, personalised letters from President John Dramani Mahama, and a health insurance package valued at GH¢3 million for 27 beneficiaries.

Nana Oye Bampoe Addo said the initiative marks a transition from addressing administrative processes to focusing on securing the future of the children and families of Ghana's fallen heroes.
