Children of the eight victims of the August 6 helicopter crash have received government support packages, including investment funds, commemorative items, and health insurance coverage.
President John Dramani Mahama said the initiative is aimed at securing the future of the children while acknowledging that no form of compensation can erase the pain caused by the loss of their loved ones.
The support package forms part of government's efforts to provide long-term assistance to the families affected by the tragedy.
