Government has presented compensation and support packages to the families and children of the eight victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.

The package includes a Presidential Legacy Box, GH¢1 million trust accounts for each child, Children's Fund investments, and health insurance coverage aimed at providing long-term support and financial security for beneficiaries.

President John Dramani Mahama said the initiative is focused on securing the future of the children while acknowledging that no compensation can replace the lives lost or erase the pain of the families.

Speaking on behalf of the affected families, Kasha Ridwan Limuna, son of Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru Limuna, expressed gratitude to the presidency for the gesture, saying the continued support and compassion shown during their difficult period has brought comfort and strength.

The families thanked government for standing with them following the tragic loss of their loved ones.
