The Road to Victory: Veterans reflect on the battle flag

"Follow the bright red battle flag, charge forward and win even greater glory," recalls a veteran of the Chinese People's Volunteers. Over the decades, the battle flag has come to symbolize the resilience, resolve and enduring traditions of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), with its legacy passed down from one generation of service members to the next.

In the latest episode of CMG's special production The Road to Victory, marking the 99th anniversary of the PLA's founding, we trace the stories of veterans whose lives were shaped by the battle flag and whose service has given new meaning to what it represents.
