Fauci invokes the Fifth Amendment over 100 times
Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination more than 100 times during a hearing before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Fauci noted in his opening statement that GOP lawmakers had made clear they wanted to use the hearing to get him prosecuted, saying “the sole reason (Sen. Rand Paul) is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something, anything, that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, 'behind bars.'”
