Fitch Solutions Projects Ghana’s Inflation to Rise to 9% by End of 2026

Fitch Solutions has projected that Ghana's inflation rate could rise to 9% by the end of 2026, slightly above the government's projected range of 8% ± 2%.
Speaking at PwC Ghana's assessment of the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review, Associate Director Mike Kruger said although Ghana has recorded a significant moderation in inflation, the current low inflation environment is unlikely to be sustained in the months ahead.
According to him, exchange rate movements, particularly the performance of the cedi, will be a major factor influencing inflation in the second half of the year.
