Rep. Joaquin Castro on the ‘ugly brutality’ of Dilley detention center

Rep. Joaquin Casto, D-TX, is renewing calls to close down the for-profit ICE detention facility in Dilley, Texas over concerns of neglectful conditions. On Tuesday, Castro toured the facility, which now holds more than 100 children, for the seventh time this year. On Morning Joe, he describes the “ugly brutality” inside, including medical neglect and complaints of yellow drinking water. Castro's visit comes amid reporting from The New York Times that ICE arrests are surging at airports as agents detain travelers at check-in counters and arrival gates.
